Overview

This is a digital .STEP 3D print file for Revv Engineering mirror mount rock light housings designed for the 2014–2024 Toyota 4Runner.

These housings replace the factory mirror access covers and allow you to mount compatible Diode Dynamics Stage Series rock lights in a clean, low-profile location on the side mirrors. They are great for use as puddle lights, side lighting, camp lighting, and additional trail visibility when driving off-road at night.

The buyer is responsible for printing the housings, purchasing compatible Diode Dynamics lights, sourcing all required hardware, wiring the lights, and completing installation.

Required Hardware

Each housing requires an M4 nylon insert locknut for the mounting screw.

The required locknut is:

M4 nylon insert locknut
McMaster-Carr part number: 90576A812

The required mounting bolt is:

M4 x 18 mm button head screw
McMaster-Carr part number: 92095A478

The buyer is responsible for sourcing and installing the required locknuts and mounting bolts.

Note: The provided .STEP file may be modified by the buyer to use an M4 heat-set insert instead of the nylon insert locknut, if preferred.

Light Compatibility Notes

This file is designed for use with compatible Diode Dynamics Stage Series rock lights.

Depending on the Diode Dynamics light setup you choose, your lights may support features such as single-color output, RGBW color control, app-based brightness control, interchangeable lenses, or different wiring configurations.

The buyer is responsible for confirming compatibility with their specific Diode Dynamics rock lights, wiring harness, controller, and vehicle setup.

Important Notes

This product is sold as a digital .STEP file only. Due to the nature of 3D printing, final fit, strength, surface finish, and durability will depend on your printer, slicer settings, filament choice, print orientation, and installation method.

For outdoor automotive use, we recommend printing with a UV-resistant and heat-resistant material such as ASA, ASA-CF, nylon, PETG, or another suitable engineering-grade filament. PLA is not recommended for vehicle exterior use.

The housing is intended for FDM 3D printing. Layer lines and minor surface imperfections should be expected depending on print settings.

Hardware must be installed carefully. Poor alignment, over-tightening, or improper installation may damage the printed housing.

Installation Notes

Installation requires printing the housing from the provided .STEP file, installing the M4 nylon insert locknut, mounting the compatible Diode Dynamics rock light, removing the factory mirror access cover, securing the printed housing with the required M4 x 18 mm button head screw, and routing the wiring through the mirror and door area.

This is not a plug-and-play installation. Custom wiring may be required depending on the lights, harness, switch, controller, and lighting functions you choose to use.

The buyer is responsible for confirming light compatibility, wiring requirements, hardware fitment, and safe installation on their specific vehicle.
